33 Chilean Miners Stuck for 18 Days, Still Waiting

33 Chilean Miners have been stuck in a copper/gold mine for 18 days. Thankfully, they have made contact with the surface and there is a 4 inch hole that is being used to transport food down to the miners. Unfortunately, they will have to wait for a drill to reach them 700 meters underground. The shelter room they have been using is 50 square meters, so in the mean time they will need to pay special attention their health and sanitation. A figure was put out that says the miners might have to wait until Christmas before the human sized hole reaches them. Unlike other mining accidents, so far there is no danger of flooding in the mine so that the race against time is a bit easier. See the video below:
