In Mel Gibson’s Defence
Of course all the news is negative towards Mel Gibson after his new wife released specific recordings of him in an angry state. Of course anyone could do the same, simply start a fight and then record the repercussions voiced over the phone from a distance. I think the recordings are inadmissible for use in ANY custody hearings, and they really don’t have anything to do with how either party treated the child, or how responsible they were.
I definitely find Mel’s choice of words to be desultory, yet I also find it remorseful that conversations that were not explicitly mentioned that they were being recorded ,and then released to the public. The frequency of these verbal attacks is unknown, and they are surely a blight on the hero of Braveheart and The Patriot.
In recent days Mel’s former wife has come forward in support of Mel’s history of non-violence. Regardless, one should always assume they are being recorded on phone be it land-line or cell.
