Iraq War Veteran Shot in Head with Tear Gas Canister During Occupy Oakland Police Crackdown

An Iraq War veteran Marine was shot in the head by a projectile, assumed to be a gas canister fired by police during a crackdown on the occupy Oakland protests. Beanbags were also supposedly used, which are conventionally fired from shotguns. Scott Olsen, 24, had served two tours in Iraq and was involved with occupy Oakland.
